Masternodes – Unlike Bitcoin, where each note is equal, Medic Coin has special privilege nodes called Masternodes. Anyone can form Masternodes by holding 199,999 MEDIC coin as collateral. These special nodes perform DarkSend and InstantX functions, and earn a 80% block reward.

You need 199,999 MEDIC for one Masternode. It has to be exactly 199,999. One more or one less will result in a non-functioning Masternode.

Nobody has ever hacked DarkSend. DarkSend utilizes a selected “quorum” of random Masternodes on the network. An attacker would need a hyper majority share of Masternodes to have even the slightest chance of owning the selected random quorum of Masternodes at any given time. With 199,999 MEDIC requirement per Masternode, it becomes cost suicide to attack the privacy of the network.
